Joe Goodwin

Director

Joe Goodwin has worked in the family business since childhood, spending holidays and weekends learning the intricacies of the silver and jewellery business from his father. Joe joined the family business full time in 1991 at the age of 17. Joe is Goodwins’ silver specialist with a particular interest in 19th century British silver.

Ben Goodwin

Ben Goodwin

Director

Ben Goodwin joined the family firm in 1993 having left Trinity College where he studied business economics, followed by further studies in Paris. After a short stint at Polaroid the lure of the antiques trade beckoned and he has been at Goodwins ever since. A specialist in antique jewellery and particularly the Victorian period, he is Goodwins’ primary purchaser and point of contact for all second hand and antique retail and trade enquiries.

Isaac Goodwin joined the family business as the fourth generation in 2025, where he brings his enthusiasm for antique jewellery. Isaac is dedicated to expanding the business’s online presence, aiming to reach a broader audience while maintaining the company’s rich legacy of timeless elegance.

Angela Henderson

Store Manager

Angela has been with us since 2005, bringing a wealth of knowledge in both jewellery and watches gathered over her 21 years in the trade. Angela earned her National Association of Goldsmiths diploma and became the manager of our Rose Street branch in 2007 — she has taken the store from strength to strength since.

Linda Caddell

Linda began her career in retail jewellery in 1979, starting at McGowans on Princes Street and going on to other Edinburgh jewellers. With 30 years’ experience she has a passion for both antique and modern jewellery, and her vast knowledge has served clients well throughout her career.

Diana Grapmane

E commerce Team

With over 20 years of experience in the luxury retail sector, Diana has extensive expertise from prestigious brands at Selfridges and in the exclusive Mayfair area in London. Throughout her career she has developed a passion for jewellery and antiques; she joined Goodwins in 2021 and currently channels that knowledge into creating website content.

Sarah Shepherd

Sarah Shepherd

Workshop Manager

Sarah has been with us since 2023, joining as a recent graduate from Edinburgh College of Art where her interest in art and design developed her passion for the craftsmanship of both antique and modern jewellery. Sarah is studying for her National Association of Jewellers Diploma and hopes to use her expertise to further assist customers.
