Description
A beautiful pair of Edwardian diamond and pearl drop earrings, circa 1905, exquisitely crafted in platinum.
Each earring features an elegant bow-shaped surmount, millgrain-set throughout with sparkling old-cut diamonds, from which a delicate articulated line of diamond-set links suspends a graceful pear-shaped drop.
The central drop is formed around a lustrous white pearl, framed by a finely graduated surround of old-cut diamonds, creating a refined halo that accentuates the soft, luminous beauty of the pearls.
The articulated construction allows the drops to move gracefully when worn, enhancing their sparkle and movement.
The earrings are set throughout with approximately 1.00 carat total diamond weight, with the diamonds estimated at H/I colour and VS clarity.
Their delicate bow motif, fine platinum workmanship and romantic combination of diamonds and pearls are characteristic of the refined jewellery of the Edwardian period, making these an exceptionally elegant and timeless pair.
