Art Deco 18ct Gold and Platinum Sapphire and Dioamond Cluster Ring, Circa 1935

£1,695

A beautiful Art Deco 18ct yellow gold and platinum sapphire and old-cut diamond cluster ring, dating to circa 1935.
At the centre is a round-cut sapphire, weighing approximately 0.25ct, presented in a delicate millegrain setting. The sapphire is surrounded by a cluster of nine old-cut diamonds, set in platinum within a scalloped-edge bezel and millegrain setting. The diamonds have an approximate combined weight of 0.35ct and are graded H/I colour and VS clarity.
The shoulders of the ring are crafted in platinum, beautifully complementing the platinum settings, while the remainder of the shank is fashioned in 18ct yellow gold. The combination of warm yellow gold, cool platinum, deep blue sapphire and softly sparkling old-cut diamonds is characteristic of the refined elegance of the Art Deco period.
A charming and wearable example of 1930s jewellery, this ring would make a wonderful Art Deco engagement ring, or a beautiful addition to any fine jewellery collection. Its timeless design and understated elegance make it a particularly special piece with enduring appeal.
