Art Deco 18ct Gold 0.35ct Diamond and Emerald Cluster Ring, Circa 1930

£1,695

This elegant Art Deco cluster ring, dating to circa 1930, is crafted in a combination of 18ct yellow and white gold. At the centre is a striking square-cut emerald of approximately 0.10ct, displaying a rich green hue and providing a vivid focal point to the design. The emerald is surrounded by a decorative cluster of diamonds, totalling approximately 0.35ct, graded approximately I/J in colour and SI in clarity. The diamonds are arranged in a distinctive symmetrical, geometric cluster, creating a refined quatrefoil or floral-inspired outline characteristic of the Art Deco period. Each of the stones is enhanced by a delicate milgrain setting, with fine beaded detailing along the edges of the white gold mount, adding texture, definition and an attractive antique finish to the setting. The intricate milgrain work accentuates the individual stones, creating a softly outlined, finely worked appearance and enhancing the overall sparkle of the cluster.
The white gold diamond-set head contrasts beautifully with the warm yellow gold shank, while the shoulders taper gracefully from the raised central cluster into a slender, polished band. This charming ring would make a perfect Art Deco engagement ring, offering a distinctive and characterful alternative to a traditional diamond engagement ring. Equally, it would make a beautiful addition to any jewellery collection, particularly for those who appreciate antique craftsmanship and the enduring elegance of period jewellery.
