Antique & Vintage Rings
A wonderful Art Deco old-cut diamond solitaire ring, crafted in platinum circa 1935.
At the heart of this elegant antique ring is a beautiful old-cut diamond, dating to circa 1870, claw set within an intricately pierced gallery. The diamond weighs approximately 1.37ct and is graded I/J for colour and SI for clarity, offering a lovely combination of character, sparkle and antique charm.
The ring is enhanced by beautifully decorated shoulders, each set with three additional old-cut diamonds in delicate millegrain settings, adding further brilliance while retaining the refined geometric elegance of the Art Deco period. The intricately pierced gallery is particularly striking, showcasing the craftsmanship and attention to detail characteristic of fine jewellery from the 1930s.
The inside of the band bears a deeply personal period engraving, reading: “A.MMCL to L.M 25.9.35.”, adding a wonderful sense of history and romance to this exceptional piece.
A truly charming antique engagement ring, combining an early Victorian old-cut diamond with sophisticated Art Deco platinum craftsmanship. Equally, it would make a beautiful and meaningful addition to any fine antique jewellery collection.
